The International Committee of Sport for the Deaf (ICSD) has announced about the Summer Games of Deaf Athletes "We are together. Sport" - which will be held in the Russian Federation this summer.

The draw will be held on March 17th at 12:00 PM local time (Greece / CET)

As a leader of the World Deaf Sports Movement, the ICSD is taking continuous responsibility, but we all need to be in this together and take step in the collective push towards gender equality in the Deaf Sports.

Let's stop for a moment to look at the challenges that deaf women face in sport.

The ICSD is pleased to announce the Award of Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year for 2022. These athletes have demonstrated outstanding performances in their respective sports and are role models for other athletes, particularly for the youth.

ICSD has banned for 30 years the former Athletics Technical Director from all sporting and official events organised by the ICSD, ICSD members, and associate member organisations after finding him guilty of sexually harassing one female member.

After numerous remote meetings, representatives of the IOC and the ICSD met at the Olympic House on 5 July 2022 to discuss the current situation around the global deaf sport.

ICSD recognises the importance of maintaining the safety and health of athletes, coaches, ICSD staff and local organising committees during the worldwide COVID pandemic.

The elections of the ICSD Athlete Commission took place during 24th Summer Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul, Brazil in May 2022.

We received about 5,000 people here, 2401 athletes from 73 nations. 50 of the 73 countries that competed rose to the podium in Caxias do Sul that's fabulous. Thousands of athletes will take medals and memories, certainly positive from Caxias do Sul.
