On the weekend, the ICSD Executive Board met to discuss advice received from the Organising Committee of the Brazil Symposium that due to low numbers of members indicating their intention to participate that they were not progressing with the symposium. I

One is to review a possible change in voting privileges for associate members. Currently, only full members meaning national deaf sports federations can vote at the Congress.

The TDs are on volunteer-based; moreover, they are ready to work for World Deaf Sports Championships and Deaflympics.

At our recent meeting, the commission discussed establishing new MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) arrangement with our IDSFs (International Deaf Sports Federations).

We discussed having an independent Ethics and Complaints Commission at ICSD. Its purpose will be to resolve any complaints raised under its terms of reference.

Polish Deaf Sports Accosiation (Poland) has been confirmed as the host of the World Deaf Basketball Championships

One of these recommendations is to establish an ICSD Athletes Commission and for the Chair of the Athletes Commission to have a seat on the ICSD Executive Board with voting rights.

One of these initiatives is a new membership process for sports to become an ICSD Associate Members (IDSF)

The ICSD board has approved the establishment of the ICSD Legal Commission. Its main work will be to provide legal review of the current constitution and bylaws as well the proposed new constitution and bylaws.
