US Deaf Tennis Open
I am happy that the USA Deaf Sports Federation has taken the US Deaf Tennis Open which will be held in Las Vegas from 16 to 19 July 2010. It is the first Deaf Tennis Open in the United States ever! After the Open tournaments in Loano (ITA), Nottingham (GBR), Munich (GER) and in Kottingbrunn (AUT) - all in Europe - this year it is now in the other confederation country. I hope this is the motivation for the countries in other confederations to hold the next Deaf Tennis Open.

Till now many women and men tennis athletes (all together 50 athletes!) had sent their preliminary registration for this US Deaf Tennis Open. Each National Deaf Sports Federation have the registration form of the Final Entry Form (Form 2) which is now available. The deadline date for sending Final Entry Form to the Organizing Committee is the 02 July. I would be very happy, if more athletes can send their application for this US Deaf Tennis Open event!

Dresse & Maere Tennis Cup (DMC)
Next year 2011 the Dresse & Maere Tennis Cup will hold in Izmir / Turkey from 18 to 26 June. This is confirmed by the ICSD. In Taipei the delegates of the Turkish Deaf Sports Federation has accepted to add the new World Deaf Tennis Championships (WDTC) to the DMC in Izmir 2011 in the 2 weeks period. Although we have sent many reminders we haven't got the official letters of support from the city proposed and from the Turkish Deaf Sports Federation till now. If we will get the letters of support we will then send the information and the exact time of the tournament (maybe from 20 June to 04 July 2011) to you all immediately. I hope this works.

Now I wish you all in the new tennis season with enthusiasm, power and motivation for participating in the US Deaf Tennis Open!

See you all in Las Vegas!
