Swimming & Water Polo

I wish to thank Greece for hosting the recent successful EDSO Swimming Championships. Congratulations to the many swimmers, who swam well, won medals, and broke records. I look forward to a faster competition next year at the World Deaf Swimming Championships and meet new young swimmers.

Chinese Taipei Sports Association of the Deaf (CTSAD) has been awarded to host the 2nd World Deaf Swimming Championships, 11-17 August 2007.  CTSAD will send out formal invitations soon with more details. I will be traveling to Taipei next month for a site inspection and visit.

For those who play Water Polo in Europe - train well for the EDSO Water Polo Championships.  Hungary will host this event, 18-23 September 2006. ICSD is still looking for countries to bid for the World Deaf Water Polo Championships 2007/8 and 2011. 

For most of you, please keep cool in the water this summer. See you next year in Salt Lake City, USA and/or Taipei, Taiwan.
