Representatives from IOC and ICSD meet at the Olympic House

After numerous remote meetings, representatives of the IOC and the ICSD met at the Olympic House on 5 July to discuss the current situation around the global deaf sport.

The agenda of the meeting was primarily a discussion regarding deaf sports development. Thus, during the meeting, the representatives of both organisations unanimously agreed that for the ICSD, as the world leader of Deaf Sport, development in thection of the sport, due attention to young athletes, and proper support to the current athletes are essential and should remain prioritized.

The representatives also discussed the results achieved and the next steps towards improvement of the ICSD governance and the continuation of the work to strengthen compliance with international standards.

At the end of the meeting, both parties consolidated the results achieved to date with a firm handshake and agreed to continue strengthening the productive cooperation.
