Bowling

I am very pleased to be selected for the 2010-13 term of the Summer Deaflympics TD-Bowling.

World Deaf Bowling Championships will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 21 August - 4 September in 2011. This August is when we will be conducting a site inspection in Buenos Aires and confirm all details.

I just went on vacation in Europe for 3 weeks to see my parents and at same time I went to visit the 9th European Deaf Bowling Championships held in Athens, Greece 14-22 May 2010. I was there for 3 days during the opening ceremony which 25 countries were represented. You can see the EDSO's website for more information and results.

The tournament in Athens, Greece was about 20 miles from the Airport in a town named SPATA. It is quiet town and new bowling hall has 20 lanes that are great, but rules on WTBA and 2013 Summer Deaflympics may need more lanes.

Thank to the Official EDSO-Guido Zanecchia, TO Bowling-Nete Stutt, OC-Ted Staroyiannis, Secretary-Helen Fountoulaki and Michail Polemis for welcoming me to the tournament.
