Italian Organisers Prepare for 2019 Winter Deaflympics
The top-level managers of the International Committee for Sport of the Deaf (ICSD), the Italian Deaf Sports Federation (FSSI) and the Italian Paralympic Committee (IPC) met at the FSSI office.
From the side of ICSD, the meeting was attended by President Dr. Valery Rukhledev and Vice President - World Sports Mr. Kang Chen. From the host party - FSSI President Mr. Guido Zanecchia, Italian Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Luca Pancalli, FSSI Vice President Mr. Giuseppe Pignataro, members of FSSI Mr. Massimiliano Bucca and Mr. Lorenzo Belardinelli, and others.
The main purpose of this event was to discuss the possibility of holding the 19th Winter Deaflympics in Italy in March 2019. During the meeting, Mr. Guido Zaneccia expressed his full support to ICSD's initiative to hold the most status-based Winter Deaflympics competitions in Italy.
The parties recognized the results of the meeting was productive, the hosts of the meeting announced that the final resolution of the issue will be in June 2018.
