World Deaf Beach Volleyball Championships 2024

Famous Prague building overlays volleyball will word around it

The Czech Republic Organising Committee (CROC) is gearing up to host an exciting event this August: the World Deaf Beach Volleyball Championships (WDBVC) in Prague. What's even more thrilling is that it will coincide with the Czech National Championships (CNC), creating a double celebration of sporting excellence. Thanks to cooperation between the CROC and the CNC organising committee, both championships will share the venue's 17 courts at the Beachklub Ládví, ensuring maximum excitement for participants and spectators.

The action kicks off on August 27th with the WDBVC, initially utilising four courts, followed by the CNC Championships on August 30th. As the tournaments progress, the focus will shift to the semi-finals, bringing both championships closer together. The grand finale will be broadcast simultaneously, reaching a global audience. This presents a unique opportunity for our community to showcase the talent and athleticism of deaf beach volleyball players.

Beachklub Ládví was the site of two FIVB events in 2021, the FIVB 2-Star World Tour and FIVB Prague Open. An aerial view of the venue can be seen on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjcAj8auPSQ.
