The ICSD Athletes Commission consists of five members: Andrea Hjellegjerde, Anett Kiss, Janer Cabezas, Urs Breitenberger, and Katrin Neudolt. They are active athletes from various summer and winter sports, committed to ensuring that athletes' voices are heard and involved in ICSD decision-making.

In November, an online workshop was conducted in international sign language with English subtitles and is available on the ICSD YouTube Channel. This workshop covers essential topics such as the introduction of the ICSD Athletes Commission, Athlete 365, and the ICSD structure. Watch it here to gain valuable insights and information tailored to athletes.

At the recent ICSD 50th Extraordinary Congress, the ICSD Constitutions were approved, emphasizing the importance of ensuring all Deaf athletes are represented with voting rights in decision-making bodies, such as your National Deaf Sports Federation or International Deaf Sports Federation. To support your NDSF & IDSF in this step, the IOC's Athlete 365 platform offers valuable resources such as guides for developing an effective Athletes Commission and an e-learning course specifically designed for athletes and federations. This platform, available in multiple languages, also provides free educational content for athletes covering various aspects of athlete development, including professional sports management, safeguarding athletes from harassment and abuse, and more.

Looking ahead, ICSD aims to provide more educational content through online seminars. Athletes are encouraged to stay updated by forwarding this information to their NDSF/IDSF and by following ICSD's social media channels on Facebook (@Deaflympics), Instagram (@icsd_official), and YouTube (@deaflympics_icsd).
